I bought this immersion blender to aid me in the faster saponification of my homemade soap. I specifically wanted a steel neck because plastic tends to hold onto essential oil scents more.To try out my new blender, I finished off my homemade gelled-up liquid laundry detergent; now it is smooth and thick and luxurious! I was so excited, I taught my future bachelor son (currently 16)to make homemade liquid dish detergent. Oh yeah, it came with a whisk attachment so I made pancakes for breakfast and they came out so fluffy! This week I will be making my homemade soap; I wanted to test the blender out on smaller less expensive products/projects before using it with my expensive soaping supplies. I would prefer a blender that could turn on and stay on without having to continuously hold down the button, because the body of the blender is kind of wide. This causes me to change hand positions more often than I care to while trying to maintain pressure on the power button. Using LYE is dangerous, so I’m glad I practiced with the blender on non-dangerous ingredients first. This was the least expensive blender that I could find at this time. I have been told that many immersion blenders are not that great and when used a lot, need to be replaced fairly often. At this time I’m not willing to pay 50 – 100 dollars for one, so I am grateful to have this one; it is certainly better than not having one at all! Otherwise, I would be stirring soap half of the day.

not easy to push button and hold the mixer (the handle part is way to large/fat). I even have very large hands for a woman, and let me tell u, this is even hard for me to operate. I have 2 other brands I use and find them to be easier and the handle part is way more slimmer, therefor I do not have the trouble as I do with this one. The blender does a nice job, but handle is way to big. 5 stars is because it does a nice job with mixing, but hand held friendly will get a fat 0 star. I might add stick blenders are all I use from making my own baby food, mixing waffles/cake batter, smoothies,and even use them to mix my handcrafted soaps and lotions.

Awsome for the price. Great for quick mixing and making smoothies. So easy to clean, just rinse off whisk or blade. This is my second. The parts do eventually fail, but I had the first one for a couple of years. For less than $20, worth it.

Can’t complain. I make soup 1x a week in a crock pot. It’s heaven! Blends well, red color matches my kitchen, I don’t use the whisk but I at least have it. Cup makes a nice soaking cup when washing.

I like the fact that this is smaller than the normal blender and functions also as a mixer. Nice idea on dual functionality. The design is just right for the hand and clean-up is easy too.
